The cluster of offices around The Shard, More London, and London Bridge is home to tens of thousands of workers — and almost none of them have time to spend half a day at a GP surgery for something minor. A sore throat, a repeat prescription, a flu jab before a winter of packed commutes: these are the everyday health needs that get put off precisely because they're inconvenient.
They don't have to be. Qrystal Pharmacy on Borough High Street is a short walk from the London Bridge office district, and most of what a busy professional needs can be handled inside a lunch break.
A short walk from your desk
We're at 301 Borough High Street, London SE1 1JH, a few minutes from the heart of the London Bridge business district:
- London Bridge station (Northern & Jubilee lines, National Rail): about 8 minutes' walk — the same station most of the area commutes through.
- From More London / The Shard: head toward London Bridge and onto Borough High Street, past Southwark Cathedral; we're a short way south.
- Borough Underground (Northern line): about 2 minutes from our door.
Close enough to pop out, sort what you need, and be back before your next meeting.
Lunch-hour consultations
The single most useful thing for office workers is Pharmacy First — an NHS service where our pharmacists can assess and, where appropriate, treat seven common conditions on the spot, without a GP appointment:
- Sinusitis
- Sore throat
- Earache (in children)
- Infected insect bites
- Impetigo
- Shingles
- Uncomplicated UTIs (women aged 16–64)
A consultation takes around 10–15 minutes in our private room, and where treatment — including antibiotics where genuinely needed — is appropriate, we supply it immediately. It's free on the NHS, and it fits into a lunch break far better than a GP appointment booked days out.
Express prescription collection and delivery
If you take a regular medicine, the easiest setup is to nominate us through the Electronic Prescription Service. Your repeat prescriptions then come straight to us automatically — ready to collect on your way through London Bridge, or delivered free to a local SE1 address if even that's hard to fit in.
For office workers, that turns a recurring errand into something that simply takes care of itself each month.
Vaccinations without the wait
A few things are worth doing before the season demands them:
- Flu and seasonal vaccinations — quick to get done ahead of winter, when packed trains and open-plan offices do their best to share every bug going.
- Travel clinic — heading abroad for work or a well-earned break? We can handle vaccinations and travel health advice, booked around your diary.
- Health checks and private blood tests — useful for keeping an eye on things like blood pressure and cholesterol when a desk job leaves little time for it.
For teams and employers
If you manage an office near London Bridge or More London and want to make health admin easier for your people — coordinated flu vaccination ahead of winter, or a simpler way for staff to manage prescriptions and minor illness locally — we're happy to talk through what we can arrange. The best starting point is a quick conversation about what your team actually needs.
When it needs more than a pharmacy
Pharmacy First and our other services cover everyday health — not emergencies. For chest pain, breathing difficulty, or any rapidly serious symptom, call 999 or go to A&E; for urgent advice out of hours, NHS 111 is available around the clock. For everything else — the minor, the routine, the easily-put-off — we're a short walk from your desk.
