Tooley Street Workers: Quick Healthcare Solutions Near Your Office

A bright modern office interior near London Bridge

Tooley Street runs through the heart of the London Bridge business district, lined with offices and flanked by More London and the riverside. Thousands of people work along it — and for most of them, personal health admin is the thing that keeps sliding down the list because there's simply no obvious time for it.

Qrystal Pharmacy is a short walk away on Borough High Street, and much of what you need can be handled inside a lunch break. Here's how to make the working day work for your health.

A short walk from the office

We're at 301 Borough High Street, London SE1 1JH, easily reached from Tooley Street.

  • On foot from Tooley Street: head west toward London Bridge and onto Borough High Street — roughly 10 minutes depending where along Tooley Street you start.
  • London Bridge (Northern & Jubilee lines, National Rail): about 8 minutes' walk from us — the station most of the area commutes through.
  • Borough Underground (Northern line): about 2 minutes from our door.
  • Buses: frequent routes stop on Borough High Street, seconds away.

Lunch-hour consultations

The most useful service for office workers is Pharmacy First — an NHS scheme allowing our pharmacists to assess and, where clinically appropriate, treat seven common conditions on the spot:

  • Sinusitis
  • Sore throat
  • Earache (in children)
  • Infected insect bites
  • Impetigo
  • Shingles
  • Uncomplicated UTIs (women aged 16–64)

A consultation takes around 10–15 minutes in our private room and is free on the NHS. Where treatment is needed — including antibiotics where genuinely indicated — we supply it there and then. For a working day, that's the difference between sorting something today and waiting a week for a GP slot.

Prescription management that runs itself

If you take regular medication, nominate us through the Electronic Prescription Service. Your repeats then arrive with us automatically, and you can either:

  • Collect on your way home through London Bridge — a 30-second stop, not a separate errand.
  • Have them delivered free to a local SE1 address if collection is hard to fit in.

For a lot of office workers, that turns a recurring monthly nuisance into something that quietly takes care of itself.

Vaccinations and health checks

Worth doing before the season forces the issue:

  • Flu vaccination ahead of winter — sensible when open-plan offices and packed trains do their best to share every bug going.
  • Travel clinic for work trips or holidays abroad, ideally booked well before you fly.
  • Private blood tests and blood pressure checks — easy to overlook when a desk job leaves little time, and quick to do.

For employers along Tooley Street

If you manage an office nearby and want to make health easier for your team — coordinated flu vaccination ahead of winter, or simply a local pharmacy your staff can rely on for prescriptions and minor illness — we're happy to talk through what would help. The best starting point is a short conversation about what your people actually need.

When it needs more than a pharmacy

We handle everyday health, not emergencies. For chest pain, breathing difficulty, or any rapidly serious symptom, call 999 or seek emergency care; NHS 111 covers urgent advice out of hours.
